These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Coffee Tech Limited’s (“Coffee Tech”) website and services, as well as the purchase of products. By using our website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.


1. General Use of Website

1.1 Operator:
This website is operated by Coffee Tech Limited. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Coffee Tech Limited.

1.2 Acceptance:
By accessing or using our website, you engage in our “Service” and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.

1.3 Updates:
We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1.4 Eligibility:
To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.


2. Pricing and Orders

2.1 Pricing:
Prices displayed are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are subject to change without notice. Prices are fixed at the time of order confirmation.

2.2 Order Acceptance:
Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Coffee Tech reserves the right to cancel any order, with notice, before dispatch.

2.3 Payment:
Payment in full is required at the time of purchase. We offer the following payment methods for your convenience:

  • Online Payments: Credit card payments are accepted, excluding American Express. POLi payments are also available for secure online transactions.
  • Manual Invoices: Direct bank transfer is available for manually created invoices.

2.4 Order Cancellation:
Orders may be canceled by contacting us via email before 10 a.m. the next business day. If the order has already been dispatched, our Returns Policy applies.


3. Shipping and Delivery

3.1 Delivery Timeframes:
We aim to ship orders within 3-4 business days. Backorders may take longer, depending on product availability.

3.2 Risk and Ownership:
Ownership and risk pass to the Customer upon delivery to the carrier.


4. Returns and Refunds

4.1 Eligibility:

Returns are accepted under the following conditions:

  • Goods damaged prior to delivery
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Incorrect items supplied
  • Goods not matching the description on the website

4.2 Change of Mind:
Customers may return unused, undamaged items in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt. Consumable items (e.g., coffee beans, tea, cleaning products) are not eligible unless faulty.

4.3 Return Process:

  • Approved returns must be shipped back to our address: Unit 23, 9 Chonny Crescent, Manurewa, Auckland 2102.

4.4 Shipping Costs:
Return shipping costs are the Customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our part or the product is faulty.

4.5 Refunds:
Refunds are issued within 7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

4.6 Exclusions:

  • Products showing signs of use, damage, or missing components may be rejected.
  • Returns not initiated within the specified timeframes will not be accepted.

5. Warranty

5.1 Warranty Coverage:

Coffee Tech-Branded Products:
All Coffee Tech-branded products come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects and functional issues.

  • All warranties extend to the end user of the purchased product, not to the reseller.
  • All warranties do not cover recommended maintenance (or what is considered normal wear and tear) as per the product manual/user guide.
  • The warranty does not cover any issues caused by the impact of water quality, including but not limited to scale buildup or mineral deposits.

Other Brands:
Products from other brands are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty policy. Warranty durations and conditions may vary. Please refer to the specific manufacturer’s documentation provided with your product or contact us for assistance.

5.2 Exclusions:
The warranty does not cover:

  • Consumable parts (e.g., filters, seals, coffee beans)
  • Normal wear and tear or maintenance as specified in the product manual
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, or failure to follow product instructions
  • Water-quality-related issues, such as damage from scale buildup, corrosion, or mineral deposits
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or accidental damage

5.3 Warranty Claim Process:
To initiate a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] with proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue.
  2. For other brands, we may assist you in liaising with the manufacturer if needed.
  3. Provide photographs or videos to help assess the issue.

If the claim is validated:

  • For Coffee Tech-branded products, we will repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion.
  • For other brands, resolutions will depend on the specific manufacturer’s warranty policies.

5.4 Shipping for Warranty Claims:

  • Customers are responsible for shipping items to us for assessment.
  • If the claim is approved under warranty, return shipping costs will be covered by Coffee Tech or the respective manufacturer.

5.5 Non-Warranty Repairs:
For issues not covered under warranty, we may offer repair services at the Customer’s expense, or we may assist in facilitating repairs with the respective manufacturer.

6. Order Pickup Policy

For local customers, we offer the option of order pickup from our warehouse.

  • Notification of Pickup:
    Once your order is ready for collection, you will receive an email notification from our team. To ensure efficiency and avoid long wait times, please refrain from arriving at the warehouse until you receive confirmation of your order’s availability.
  • Pickup Timeframe:
    Orders must be picked up within 14 days of the date of purchase.
  • Unclaimed Orders:
    • After 14 days, unclaimed orders will be removed from the pickup area and stored separately.
    • Consumable items (e.g., coffee beans) will not be exchanged for fresher stock.

7. Liability

7.1 Limitation of Liability:
Coffee Tech’s liability is limited to the value of the product purchased.

7.2 Exclusions:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as loss of profits or business interruptions.


8. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, and trademarks, is the property of Coffee Tech Limited or used under license. Unauthorised use is prohibited.


9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in New Zealand courts.
